Toxicity of cobalt tungsten and its compounds and hard metal lung disease

In 2013, the hard metal lung disease was put into the latest list of occupational disease. However, the corresponding diagnostic criteria has not yet been announced. Hard metal lung disease, with occupational asthma, is associated with the inhalation of hard metal dust of tungsten and cobalt or their compounds. In this article, the research progress on the toxicity of tungsten and its compounds in recent years, and the research progress on hard metal lung disease were reviewed.
