The current situation and perspective of noise reduction technology

Noise is a severe public hazard in the world. This paper summarized the development status of both passive and active noise reduction technology internationally. The development issues of the noise reduction technology in China were specifically discussed. The priority in China should be given to the development of active noise reduction technology in the future. Multifunctional noise reduction facilities and equipment will become the core technology. The effectiveness of comprehensive noise reduction technology in a project was demonstrated, where the noise was reduced by 54 dB.
