Emergency knowledge level and influencing factors of health technicians in township hospitals

  Objective  The current status of emergency knowledge level of health technicians in township hospitals and its influencing factors were investigated, in order to provide reference for improving the ability of township hospitals.

  Methods  Using the stratified random cluster sampling method, a survey was carried out on the selected 652 health technicians with the basic situation questionnaire and emergency knowledge level questionnaire compiled by the research team. Binary logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the survey results.

  Results  The average score of emergency knowledge of health technicians in township hospitals was (57.49±13.63), 52.0% of health technicians had an emergency knowledge score more than 60 points, and 48.0% of health technicians had an emergency knowledge score less than 60 points. The four knowledge dimensions scored from high to low were basic emergency, infectious disease, other emergency and natural disaster. Multivariate analysis showed that the probability of passing the emergency knowledge test of health technical personnel in ZB city was 1.782 times higher than that of health technical personnel in WF city(P < 0.05);the probability of passing the emergency knowledge test of health technicians in central township hospitals was 0.647 times lower than that of health technical personnel in ordinary township hospitals(P < 0.05);the probability of passing the emergency knowledge test of health technical personnel over 40 years old was 2.260 times higher than that of health technical personnel under 30 years old(P < 0.05);the probability of passing the emergency knowledge test of health technical personnel who participated in the emergency training was 1.502 times higher than that of health technical personnel who did not(P < 0.05);the probability of passing the emergency knowledge test of health technical personnel who participated in the emergency disposal was 0.566 times lower than that of health technical personnel who did not(P < 0.05).

  Conclusions  The level of emergency knowledge of health technicians in township hospitals was not high, and targeted measures should be taken to comprehensively improve the level of emergency knowledge of health technicians in township hospitals.
