Risk assessment of occupational radiation hazards in a medical institution by fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method

  •   Objective  To conduct a comprehensive risk assessment of occupational radiation hazards in a top tertiary medical institutions, so as to provide basis for health risk control of regulatory departments and medical institutions and occupational health security of medical staff.
      Methods  Using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the risk classification and management of occupational radiation hazards in this medical institution in Guangzhou were carried out.
      Results  The established evaluation factor set was V=(V1, V2, V3, V4, V5, representing (site selection and layout, types of occupational hazards, radiation protection measures, radiation protection management, health monitoring). The results of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method showed that the total score of the system was f=14.639 4. The risk assessment result of the hospital project was ranked as grade Ⅲ, which was highly hazardous(10-17 points).
      Conclusions  The occupational radiation hazards in this hospital may cause serious occupational hazards, and control measures must be taken to prevent the impact on human health. The risk assessment with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method can fully evaluate the occupational radiation hazards existing in medical institutions and ensure the health of medical staff and other occupational groups.
