Data analysis of occupational health examination of coal mine workers in Hebi City

  • Objective To understand the health condition of workers in coal mine industries in Hebi city. Methods The data of occupational health examination of 4 938 workers during 2011-2013 were collected and analyzed. Results Totally 96.65% workers were received occupational health examination during 2011-2013. Among them,a total of 1 198 person-time were found at least one abnormal examined-item. 8.87% workers were diagnosed as the suspected cases of pneumoconiosis,5.70% workers had contraindications to work in the coal mine industry, 3.93% workers had ECG abnormalities and 3.79% workers had abnormal blood pressure. The workers who had long time of employment and engaged in tunneling had a high ratio of suspected pneumoconiosis cases. The detective rates of suspected pneumoconiosis at different posts had a statistically difference(χ2=8.89,P < 0.05). Conclusion We should pay more attention to the occupational hazards in coal mine industry. The suspected pneumoconiosis should stop their exposure to coal dust and get good medical care to alleviate progress of disease.
