Status of image quality control of conventional medical diagnostic X-ray equipment in Shenzhen

  • Objective To investigate the status of the image quality control of conventional medical diagnostic X-ray equipment in Shenzhen. Methods Multi-functional X-ray detector and X-ray machine test plate were used to test the main imaging quality control indicators of X-ray machine. The data were compared with the relevant standards in China. Results Totally there were 364 medical diagnostic X-ray machines in 167 medical institutions. The total qualified rate was 88.74%. However, there was a great difference of qualified rate in different sub-groups of conventional medical diagnostic X-ray equipment. The lowest was common X-ray photographs, in which the bigger edges deviation of lighting field to radiation field has serious problem. Conclusion We should strengthen the testing and management of imaging quality control of medical X-ray diagnostic equipment to protect the safety and health of patients.
